any further compensation than a passage back to England, which will be granted only if the Governor is satis- fied that you have, by your good conduct, deserved it. If not previously terminated, the appointment will cease at the end of the amid three years, unless it be expressly continued. 3. You will be provided with free furnished quarters and attendance in a building attached to the Civil Hospital. You will be subject to the orders of the Principal and other Kedical Officers of the Medical Department and of the Matron of that Hospital; and also to such rules as the Government may from time to time prescribe. Uniform, laundry, fuel and light, will be provided. You will be primarily employed in private nursing but when not so engaged you may be employed in any of the hospitals of the Colony. After three years' satisfactory service you will be eligible for appointment to the Hospital Nursing Staff as Vacancies occur. If you are ultimately appointed to the Hospital Staff you will still be liable to be

called upon to undertake private nursing if ocassion

requires.
